SONGWRITING CONTESTS
There will be nine songwriting contests held throughout the festival. Each contest will have a specific topic. There will also be a Grand Event on Sunday where the winners of each contest compete. The winning song of the Grand Event will be named the “Song of the Year”. A “Songwriter of the Year” will also be named and awarded. This title will be determined by the overall performance of an individual songwriter or songwriter team over multiple contests. There will be a limit of twelve contestants for each contest. Each songwriter or songwriter team may only enter a maximum of four contests. In the event that all contest slots are filled in advance additional contests may be scheduled to accommodate additional songwriters.

The prizes for the individual contests will be:
First Place: $100
Second Place: $50
Third Place $25
For the Grand Event:
Song of the Year $1,000
Songwriter of the Year $1,000
